Today was a light run. I was kind of unsettled beforehand- I’m sorting out a lot of messes with my personal life, and that’s added a lot of stress to my life. So I didn’t push myself. That’s probably good anyway. I don’t want to push myself so hard that I burn out before I race.
Today was just 5 minute intervals with a 2 minute rest, plus a five minute warmup and cool down, totaling 30 minutes. I think I covered about 2 miles- I forgot to look at my distance before I left. I was on the treadmill at the gym. The mosquitoes and chiggers have been so bad lately!
In fact, I might swim tomorrow just so that I can soak my itch bug-bitten legs in the pool!
Not much else to report. I am still hoping to do the KC Zoo Run but I haven’t registered yet. I am supposed to take care of a pregnant friend’s dog when she goes in to labor, and I’m not sure if I want to run if I have the dog on that day. I strongly suspect the dog will come and go before then, but I can’t be sure. Luckily I can register right up until the race day.
