Today I was given a free personal training session by my AMAZING gym, 24 Hour Fitness.
I received 1 hour of instruction and advice from a personal trainer, who happened to also be a runner! She explained some strategies for improving my cardio, but we spent most of our time on the weights. She showed me a bunch of great circuit training ideas and basically just kicked my butt for an hour! It was a fantastic hour, and now I’m totally excited to apply all these strategies to my training.
Otherwise this was a quiet day. I am thinking I will probably try to sneak out to the gym for an hour tomorrow to put in some time on the treadmill, then Sunday I may take a day off. Though honestly I suspect there’s a good chance that I’ll get bored Sunday afternoon and wind up at the gym anyway!
