I spent a long afternoon at the gym today! Circuit training. Kinda surprising how much I’m almost enjoying this!
Warm-up was .25 miles/5min on the treadmill.
Then, circuit training. I used this workout, set up by my personal trainer last week:
Chest press (15 lbs, 15 reps)
Back fly (10 lbs, 15 reps)
Bus drivers (10 lbs, 15 reps)
Lunges (around 15 reps on each leg? I dunno, I just lunged around the perimeter of the gym.)
Bicep curls (20 lbs, 15 reps)
Tricep curls (20 lbs, 15 reps)
Single-leg squat (15 reps on each leg)
Single-leg reach (15 reps on each leg)
Bosu Ball Crunches (15 reps on each side)
Prone Iso-Ab on Bosu Ball (Hold for 20sec x2)
Opposite Knee to Arm (15 reps on each side)
repeat circuit 3 times
Finally, cool down was .5 miles/10min on the elliptical.
Overall a fantastic workout. I could already feel some improvement over last week! My quads and glutes are still sore, and made the lunges especially difficult, but otherwise I feel great. And that’s pretty amazing.
