Today I did my final training run before Saturday’s race.
I wish I could say it was great, but it was really more neutral. One of those “meh” runs. My head just wasn’t in it today. I did 3.8 miles in 58 minutes.
I am starting to think I’m having a bit of trouble with my right iliotibial band. The best way I can describe it is as a twinge at the base of my hip. It’s not even painful, really- it’s a momentary discomfort that I feel on my first step or two after standing up from a sitting position. As I walk, it goes away. Thankfully, it didn’t really have any effect on my running.
