Tuesday early morning yoga

This morning, as usual, I woke up early to go to my Tuesday yoga class. I really love this class. It’s at 5:30 am, which I don’t like, but it’s always worth getting up early.

It’s kinda funny… every Tuesday, without fail, when my alarm goes off at 4:30am, I wake up with a start, then remember why I am getting up early. I hit the snooze button and lay back down for a couple of minutes, though I’m wide awake from the shot of adrenaline from the alarm. I’m tired and I ALWAYS wonder if I should just reset the alarm and go back to sleep. Then I remind myself how good I feel after the class, and how I am always thankful I got up for it. So I wake up and get dressed, albeit somewhat zombie-ish, and go to class. And I AM always thankful I got up early!

My left shoulder is sore today, and I think I pulled a muscle this morning. I’m not surprised- I have been sore from yoga before and I’ve always survived. It doesn’t feel too serious, but it IS annoying. It almost feels like my back hurts- it’s the muscle on the back of my shoulder, to the side of the shoulder blade, and it just hurts every time I move. But it’s like a tshirt I saw in the gym the other day: “Pain is just weakness leaving the body!”
