Wow, interesting observation today… After any hard workout, I do NOT want to focus on updating my blogs, and I do NOT do a good job of doing the work I need to do!
Anyway. Today I went to the gym and hit the treadmill. I set it on a “variety” incline for the first mile and a half or so, but I was REALLY surprised by how much it wore me out. So, I went down to 0% incline for the rest of my run- a total of 4.6 miles in 1:05.
I’m struggling a bit with boredom. I’m sure part of it is the treadmill, but it’s still frustrating. I seem to do better with shorter time frames- run 5 minutes, walk 2 minutes, or something like that.
I guess I’m just concerned that I’ll encounter the same boredom on the road. It is hard enough to maintain a pace for a long time, and I don’t want to slow down or quit because I’m bored!
