weights, long runs

Goodness gracious, where does the time go? I keep running out of time to finish everything on my to do list!

Today I went to the gym and focused on weights. I didn’t have a plan, but I managed to keep myself busy for 35 minutes, which is pretty solid. I need to do some research and figure out a plan, so that I can be stronger and more efficient next time I lift weights. I can also find more muscle-specific exercises, as opposed to the random things I was doing today.

I’m pleased that I ran on both Monday and Wednesday of this week. Tomorrow is Friday, and I would like to run again, but I’m also a little nervous about it. Since I did speed on Monday and hills on Wednesday, tomorrow needs to be a long run, but long runs are my least favorite runs. I am just not confident in running for a long time. I can dig in and get enough out of myself to run for three minutes, or five minutes, or a half-mile, even a mile- as I would when I’m practicing speed and hills- but for me, to just start out and keep going for several miles is tough. I’ll let you know how it goes.
