today at the gym

Today’s run was a bit shorter than I’d planned, but that’s ok. Right after I got to the gym today, I ran into an old friend and we spent a few minutes chatting, which cut into my running time, but I’m glad nonetheless because it was nice to catch up with him.

My focus today was hills, and I am pleased with what I accomplished. Aside from my warm-up and cool-down, I did four cycles:
2 minutes at 12:00 pace and 2% incline
2 minutes at 12:00 pace and 1% incline
2 minutes recovery at 17:00 or 18:00 pace and 0% incline

Total of 2.02 miles in 30 minutes. It was challenging, I pushed myself, and I’m pleased. Now… what will I do tomorrow?
