Contrary to popular opinion, I haven’t disappeared.
I HAVE, however, been somewhat ill. 🙁
Yesterday, for the first time EVER, I had to leave yoga early. I was fighting a headache from the beginning, and then after about 30 minutes or so, I started to feel a little nauseous. Now, I know yoga can make you feel nauseous, especially if you are out of practice, but it has been months since yoga made me feel that way.
I toughed it out for a little while. Yoga is normally challenging, but a lot of the poses just seemed even more challenging than usual. My balance felt nonexistent. My muscles didn’t feel like they were recovering from the stretches. Just ick.
Yoga normally gets my heart rate up, totally normal, and makes me feel kinda warm- again, totally normal. But I felt a cool draft on my shoulder, and instead of feeling refreshing, it felt like… a chill. Like when you have a fever and you’re hot even though you’re shivering, or you’re cold even though you’re under a blanket. And that was it. I was done.
I slept ALL DAY yesterday… came home, went back to bed, and didn’t wake up until it was time to go to bed again! I spent today working and not pushing myself too hard- between being busy with work and not feeling 100%, I decided not to try to exercise. Tomorrow, though, I plan to wake up early and try an easy run!
