I woke up today and, as I’d predicted, my hamstrings were NOT happy!!
I actually felt quite sluggish when I got out of bed today. I just really did not feel eager to work out at all, especially something physically challenging like running. I very seriously considered picking up Sadie and just doing an easy walk.
Luckily, I managed to convince myself to get out and run, and it was totally worth it. I only ran 3.1 miles, with an easy run/walk interval, nothing too crazy. I was actually really surprised by how well my legs responded, and I went through the first two miles at a surprisingly good pace.
The third mile was harder. Maybe it was the hill at the end of the second mile. Regardless, my legs just weren’t in it anymore! I slowed way down and struggled to really push myself.
In spite of that lousy mile, this run felt great, and I’m very pleased with it. It felt great to sweat again! Summer is definitely here, and I’m excited to see what it will bring!!
